Building the next generation of footballers
Sounds like an easy statement to make but it is one we are really committed to here at the Junior Premier League Regional Talent Centre in North Hampshire. We have experienced a wide range of football coaching at clubs, academies and talent centres and have drawn on this experience to create a programme and an ethos that we believe gives each footballer the best opportunity to maximise their potential and to go on and have a career in the game. We accept that not everyone will strut their stuff on the turf at Wembley or the Maracana but we will give them the best opportunity to attain their ambitions and reach their goals…
So how do we do this ? Using the England DNA blueprint and the FA’s four corner model gives us a great foundation to build on. We find that most coaching is focused on only 2 of the 4 corners, normally neglecting the social and psychological corners to focus on the technical and physical aspects. We believe in creating rounded footballers, who are not only armed with the technique but have the skill and mental toughness to pull it off when needed. Decision-making and attitude in football is critical and these are core aspects of our approach. Each player is in an individual and we treat them as such with individual player profiles attached to training and match goals.
